Multi-agency cooperation is an indelible part of complex protection of and help to women experiencing violence. It is due to the fact that violence has impact on all areas of women’s lives and lives of their children and also because no institution or organization can effectively combat violence against women. Our organisations have been developing multi-agency cooperation at local level for several years. We have so far held 72 multi-agency meetings of our local multi-agency working groups.
The long-term goal of cooperation among various institutions is to ensure effective and high quality protection, help and support for women experiencing violence and their children. To achieve this, it is important that competences and interventions of all relevant institutions and organisations are coordinated and interconnected.
